Greetings.

its been awhile since I have visited this website.

Attached is a screen shot of how my company wants to do BOM's. Is there anything against this practice in the 2009 book? I do not have a copy of it unfortunately it is not something I need according to them. However on out drawing says we follow this standard book.

TIA

ProEDesigner00,

By the "2009 book" are you referring to Y14.5-2009? There is nothing in the Y14.5 standards about BOMs, this is not the purview of that standard.

You might want to look at Y14.34 "Associated Lists" at least for a guideline. As to whats "allowed" if your drawing only specifies Y14.5 then you don't have any real restrictions as to your BOM.

Even Y14.34 is very open as to what is actually required.
Your information seems to convey enough to get the items purchased and/or made.
