In mold design we put notes that refer to the part on the drawing.
For instance, I am designing a 8 cavity mold.
On the drawing I would put a view of the top insert, and then put a note that links to the insert attributes.
I can put "DESCRIPTION"; "CALLOUT"; "MATERIAL" etc. attributes in the note. i.e. <WRef1*0@DESCRIPTION>
Is there a way to link to the QUANTITY in the BOM so the machinist knows how many to make because he more often than not does not have the BOM sheet.
Thank you.

Brad

Is the BOM sheet part of the drawing set?

The BOM is on Sheet 1 of the drawings if that is what you mean.
All the drawings are in 1 file with the assembly added on the modeling side.
Thanks

Brad

Any suggestions sam5a1?

Can anybody help on this?

Sorry, I've been away for a bit. I don't know of any easy way to link a note on another sheet to the quantity value in the BOM. If you have Teamcenter you may be able to value from the structure manager or pull it from an xml sheet in NX.
