BOM not updating

I have a parts list with a row showing Item, Qty, and 2 other rows looking up the attributes "part number" and "description". When I created my parts list in drafting, I noticed a few items were not listed in the BOM. Sure enough, I didn't enter information in the file properties for "part number" and "description". After adding the information, the items do not appear in my parts list when I do an update? The only way I can get a new row with these parts is to add another instance of the part in my assembly. But then I have to hide it in the view because I have one too many shown.

You need to do an update parts list
Either selct your parts list on the drawing or
in your part navagator (expand "drawing" menu) and
rmc on it and click update parts list

phoeNX, Thanks for the video. Sadly my company's filters won't allow me to view it at the office. I'll forward it home and have a look. I think I'll need to watch the video to even be able to answer your questions: "which column is the key field?
" and "how are the levels for the parts list set?"

Try switching back to modeling and performing an "update for external change", then switch back to drafting and update the parts list. I'm not sure it will solve the problem, but it's worth a try.
