Bolt Head Pattern identification 2

I looked through the thread above and could not find the attached bolt head in any of the links. We are asking our nut and bolt suppliers if they know who made this bolt.

A customer of mine found this in their product and are asking their suppliers if we recognize this.

It is <|> with the bottom of these two <| attached and the top of these two |> attached so that it almost looks like a triangularized S on its side.

Not sure about the S marking but the 3 lines on the bolt gives you the grade see this link:-

Yes the 3 lines means grade 5. The S mark is something the vendor puts on there, not important imo.

I knew about the three lines being grade 5. We're looking for the vendor to prove that we don't buy from them, so this time it is important (at least to us).

Well why can't you just check with your purchasing department who they buy them from, then the company who sell them to you might tell you who they buy from if there just a middleman

Here is one source of manufacturers' marks. There are all list in the US Patent and Trade Office if sold in the US and I believe Canada as part of the Fastener Quality Act
The markings are trademarks.

The Mil handbook should be available as a download from DAPS.

You should be able to find your head stamp in one or the other of these listings. These are not uptodate as I think the only one uptodate is the one from the Patent and Trade Office.
