bmp disappears on drawing

I inserted a bmp file onto my drawing and everything looks great but whenever I open it again, it's not displaying. If I double click on it, it pops back up. Also, if its displayed, the pdf looks fine, but the viewable in windchill is blank. Any idea how to fix it?
