Hi, I have a bit of a problem with my blue surf when i want to thicken it to a solid and i need a quick fix. Basically after i draw my sketch and do a blue surf, there is a point on my surface that is skewed and it will not allow me to thicken properly. I have tried deleting some of the nurbs in the sketch but to no avail. Its kind of hard to explain so i will attach my model and a picture.

Appreciate any answers given. Thanks.

Anyone have any experience with this kind of problem before???

The surface will not thicken because its tieing itself in a knot.
You need to modify your surface definition to get rid of the 'skew'.
Some more cross-sections might help.

I tried opening your part file - what version are you using?

Hi Beachcomber,

I am using version ST5. I tried adding extra cross sections but i start getting errors. I am a total noob at surfacing and most of the my attempts at getting this model somewhat correct is by trial and error.

We are still on ST4 but should be upgrading to ST5 this week.
When we do I'll have another look.
