Hi All,

I am looking for guidance document/standard for sizing Blow down vessel for Heat Exchanger which used Boiler Feed Water on Shell side to cool process stream. The BFW converts to steam after heat exchange.
It would be helpful if some one can post the relevant pages of the standard so that I can develop an excel calculation spreadsheet.

Also is there any specification on the Height to Diameter ratio for vertical vessels. I have been hearing from people that that H/D should be between 1.5 to 2 for good design. Please reply.

Thanks and Regards,
Pavan Kumar
