A situation has arisen where by we have Black Bitumen/Preservative located in the pipeline. The black is on fittings the majority concentrated on the neck and the throats.

The pipe was meant to have been shot blasted but no QA/QC procedure was followed thus unknown scope identified. Installed fully welded lines range in length from 60m -80m. Bore size range from 2"-12" and wall thickness is Sched 30.

We have only one option to cut and carve. Does any one know of any other options???
This is my first post on this site can anyone redirect me if needs be.

What service? What temperature of the liquid? What pressure? What are the service (liquid) requirements for cleanliness and foreign particulates?
