What is the difference between BB1 & BB2 rather than BB1 is axially split casing and BB2 is radially split casing? When should I select BB1 / BB2?

If specified, if hydraulic requirements dictate, if installation suits one and not it the other, price, your preference.
Final selection is based on good engineering practice to suit the application.
