Can anyone tell me which one is the best processor to work with Pro-Engineer, Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz or Core 2 Duo E6850 3.00GHz?

Thank you in advance!

If I'm not wrong, actual programs do not take advantage of the multicore processors, except the rendering programs (3D Studio, Lightwave, Vue etc).

It is better to go with higher CPU frequence.

A SCSI HDD, a professional graphic card and more memory will give more speed than multicore processors.
