I am trying to simulate bending test however I have problems with boundary conditions. I am applying my force into the area number 2.
As you can see from picture2, I would like to give boundary conditions to the 1st and 2nd region (where my material touches to the steel parts). In ansys, there is an option, compression only support. When I use this option alone on the areas 1 and 2, simulation takes more than 1 hour and I do not get any solution.
I tried to add several X-Y=0 displacements some of the red points in picture two, however nothing changed. Does somebody give me an idea how can I simulate this?
I would really appreciate any ideas.
