benchmark for solid bar with traverse hole

Has anyone seen benchmarks for a solid square or round bar in torsion with a traverse hole.

According to "Peterson's stress factors" book the max stress should be inside the hole. In my FEA analysis it is on the outside.

Are you comparing VON MISES stress to tension stress? or is it apples for apples?

My reply is a little late, but I have done this analysis a number of times. The high stresses show up inside the holes as indicated by Peterson.
