Belleville Spring load?

I've got 20 Belleville spring washers arranged in pairs 2up, 2down, 2up, 2down....around 1 pin. To test I compressed the set of springs to half its overall length on a hydraulic press. Got a pressure reading of 120PSI. Spring dimensions are OD=22.5mm, ID=11.2, s=1.25mm, Ho=1.75mm.
What load does this equate to? How many kg can it hold at this compression?

How big is the piston on the hydraulic press, diameter wise?

The correct answer is that Belleville washers have -50% to +100% tolerance on their nominal force/deflection curves, so even with dimensions, there's no way to give a particularly useful answer, though whoever made them might try.
 
Thanks 3DDave. However my question is more about the calculation to get from 120PSI to kg load.
 
Hi

If you know the diameter of the hydraulic press piston like the previous poster alluded to, then the force on the spring washers must equal the force generated by the pressure on the piston divided by the piston cross sectional area.
