It recurred to me that clay stone say shale and over-consolidated clays can revert to their compressible behavior after cyclic wetting-drying conditions. How many years does this problem needs to manifest it self ? knowing that the climate discussed here is temperate , or semi-arid especially in the case of shales since i am studying them
