Been in project manegement for five years _any recommendaiton for a handbook for electrical engineer

Hi,
I have been away from design and analysis for 5 years now, doing project management. Can anyone suggest an all time electrical engineering handbook (a handy reference) for all areas of electrical engineer do I can use to take on a new design assignment?

Horowitz' Art of Electronics is a perennial favorite for analog design, which does contain a wee bit of digital:

Are you asking about electrical engineering, or electronic? AoE is a great book. I was in my twenties when I bought it and it's a little dog-eared from being referred to so often. The specific devices it refers to are sometimes obsolete but the principles are still very relevant.

If you're looking for something from the electrical world then you could do a lot worse than perusing faq238-1287. There are some excellent free-to-download references in addition to the numerous texts.

You need to be a bit more specific about your new design. Electronics and Power haven't changed a lot in the last 5 years, unless you are putting solar in your mine! If you are trying to put the internet into your mine than things have changed a lot... What area is your "new design assignment" in?
