Can anyone explain to me the basic Staniless Stell welding technique and equipment required to get a neat weld. Basically I need to weld square and round tubing and the weld must be so neat that you must not notice that it is welded. I fabricate mild steel with mig welding and grind the weld to blend in. I want to now do stainless steel fabrication work. Any info will be appreciated

BreadO;
There is plenty of information to search through, see below for starters on background information for stainless steel welding. What is the tubing material (Grade of stainless) thickness and size?

By the nature of your question, it would seem to me that you never welded or had limited experience with stainless steel base materials.

After you search through the web sites above, and if you are still certain you want to go down this path, my advice is to consult with a welding engineer or a metallurgical laboratory that specializes in materials analysis/welding. They can guide you on the selection and development of a welding process and eventual welding procedure to qualify your seam welded tubing.

Be sure to use separate tools for stainless work & passivate afterwords
