Could someone remind me on the basic guide on how to assign stations numbering for roadways, dykelines, etc?

Any difference between metric and imperial system ?

Example:
A dykeline 15 km long:
Start from 0+00 and end at 15+00
or
Start from 0+000 and end at 15+000

A road 20 miles long:
How the stations looks like?

Is there a PDF documents in the internet where I can get a copy to look at?

Thanks for info!

Not sure if this a general thing but I prefer

Start 00+00 to end 150+00

Cheers,
Chris

typically, I never start at 0+00 but prefer to start at 10+00
