Average result on surface

Hi all,

I have still problems with getting averagized results
in Fortran - Ansys (but the problem might be same as in
structural analyze).

I get pressure distribution on a wall, but I need
only one number: the average value of pressure on
the whole wall (average on surface, not on elements).

How is it posible to get this?
(I heard something about exporting
results on elements to excell and averagizing there,
but I don´t know how?)
Maybe Ansys is able to calculate this....?

Hi,

you could select the nodes on the wall (nsel,s,area) then get the nodal pressures in a vector (press(i)=pres(n)) and then average this vector (*vscfun,avpress,mean,press).

Or am I geting all this wrong?

Hi Alex,

I tried what you wrote above, but
something I do wrong.
Below is an example copied from a log file.
The aim is to get the average result
of PCOE on area A11.
I hope you will have a time to see it.
