I work in the utility industry in which we have a lot of power poles. I would like to keep track of my poles in a table and for them to appear in a drawing, but I don't want to have to define each pole in the table and then turn around and have to redefine it in the drawing. I would like the drawing to populate and destroy poles as I add and delete records in the table.

Is this possible?

Most Coordinate Geometry (cogo) programs that work in Autocad can pretty much meet this requirement.

I use a civil software package called SurvCadd from One can plot symbols base on a coordinate file. One can later synchronize the drawing if the coordinate file is updated... or vise versa.
