Autocad question 1

I currently perform Civil Design in ACAD 2007 & 2008. In order to station the centerline of a road, I am having to put the centerline into Civil 3D and station it. I was hoping that one of you more technically savvy guys/gals may know of an autolisp/script/tool/plugin/etc. that may allow me to station a centerline in ACAD 2007 or 2008. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know what you mean when you use the word 'station' as a verb.

An all AutoCAD method (regardless of version),

(1) trace over the centerline alignment with a continous POLYLINE

(2) draw a tic line and BLOCK it out

(3) MEASURE the polyline and select the tic block. You'll be prompted as to the length, say every 100'. Also align the block with the object to follow curves, etc.

This method assumes you are starting your stationing at the bgeining of your centerline. You can manually trim it to the nearest whole station and re-MEASURE.

You can also copy station text, inserting at the insertion / intersection points.

Curious why you don't want to continue using Civil 3D for the stationing. If any changes are made to the alignment, it will automatically update along with any sections and profiles you have cut. Personally, I've found Civil 3D to be obnoxious to learn, but well worth it for its dynamic approach to design.
