i wanna make changes to the drawing after i transfer the layers onto the other file.How can i do it as after i transfer the layer it automatically becomes a block and i need to explode the block so that i can make changes to the drawing after transferiing it to the other file.how can i do it?

You should probably be posting in the CADD forum. Are you talking about x-refing a drawing or block writing? I can't quite figure out what you are trying to do.

no need to block and insert, just use copy and paste (ctrl c and ctrl v) to copy the entities and then paste them into another drawing.
