I have a number of old AutoCAD drawings that I want to open in Pro/E (WF2) and keep some of the tables and text but replace the geometry with Pro/E views. My problem is that all the text comes in as individual lines of text (50 or more). That is how it was in AutoCAD as well so it isn't a tranlation issue. Is there any (easy) way I can join this all into one big note? I tried picking them all and copy/paste into a text editor but it doesn't work.

I think you would need to use the group functionality. It is under Edit > Group> Draft Group

That groups the text lines together so if you want to move them they all move together but it does not combine them into one multi-line note.

My problem is I want to change the word wrapping. At the moment the best solution I have found is to copy and paste the original lines of text one line at a time into a text editor and then paste that back into Pro/E. This takes quite a while if there are 50 or more lines of text.

for some reason I cannot find it now but I thought there was a .dtl file that controled some of this

I use to import drawings from IDEAS and same thing was going on - usually retyped 20 lines of text evey time

Thanks. I downloaded the lisp file and will give it a try. I already retyped all those lines but I am sure it will come up again.
