I cannot get SAFE to generate design strips. I ask it to, but nothing happens. Any idea what I am doing wrong? I know I can draw them in manually if need be

u must define grids and then it can be generated easily !
Without grids it cant be drawn.
don't forget that column strip is L/4 from the smaller span in the perpendicular directions

Thanks. I was using the global grids with no luck. I defined them in a different grid system and it works.
