I would like to locate an AIA (Company) that is highly familiar with section VIII code, and the relevant calculations and have NBIC grade B personnel.

In particular modification of pressure vessel shell openings. I am increasing the diameter from 14" to 20" on one of the openings- what should I consider?

I have done some preliminary calculations using UG-37 through UG 43 of ASME Section VIII, but would like to have the calculations validated by an AI. This is my first time doing this type of calculation, so I would like to have it reviewed.

I would suggest that you submit your calculations to a qualified and experienced pressure vessel engineering firm that can review and provide engineering advice for your code calculations. An Authorized Inspector will review the engineering calcs, but I would not want to place the responsibility of engineering advice on an AI or their organization.

Thanks,

I think that is probably the best way to go, before having the AI review the design and supporting calcs.

Respectfully - it is not an A.I.'s job to perform or review calculations in this manner. Please have a qualified engineer or designer review or perform the calculations for you.

An Authorized Inspector verifies that documents and construction meet the requirements of the Code, but cannot take responsibility for them.
