Aug 11, 2005 #4 dik Structural Apr 13, 2001 26,063 If the wall is sound, you can use Hilti HIT between cap stones. If 2 stone wythes, then use same into the mortar between. If reconstructing mortar, then can use 'J' bolts into space between rock... The bolts are used to secure a heavy timber top sill and the roof members are secured to this.
