ASTM to EN standards 2

Dear all,

I am sure many of you had this issue before.

I am trying to find EN equivalent standards for ASTM

More specifically for:
ASTM B584 - C87850
ASTM A53 Type E Grade A, and Grade B
and
ASTM A513 - MT 1010

Any ideas?

I do have couple of reference books. "worldwide guide to Equivalent Iron and steels, but didn't find anything there.

There is no European equivalent to UNS C87850 (ASTM B854). This is a proprietary silicon brass alloy that is licensed to a number of European producers though, e.g. Wieland, Diehl, Otto Fuchs, KME, and Sarbak.

For ASTM E53 Type E Grade A/B, start with EN 10217-1 P235TR2. EN 10224 is specific to non-pressure water applications, with grade L235 being equivalent. The Salzgitter Mannesmann Line Pipe website has some good information related to standards and available grades:

For ASTM A513, MT1010 is the grade, start with E195 according to EN 10296-1.

The problem runs deeper.
You might find similar chemistry and properties, but the testing and tolerances will be different.
Contact producers and see what they can offer that is similar.
