Hello Everyone,
I'm new at SAP2000 and I need to design a complete Cold-Formed Steel building, my problem is that I will have to design square and hollow sections since sap2000 does not include said sections yet, I will use section designer in order to overcome this limitation.
When I pick the material, under "cold-formed steel" I will only find ASTM A653 Gr 50 or Gr 30, however the AISI code also allows to design by using ASTM A500 which is under the "steel" category in sap2000 (probably hot-formed). Can anybody give me some help in this issue? Is there any other way to design the rectangular cold-formed section?
