Hey all,
I hope anybody can help me. I want to connect beam elements which are crossing a cube with the solid elements of the cube. Unfortunately Hypermesh does not use the ends of the beam elements for the integration into the mesh of solid elements for the cube. I have tried to create separate surfaces in the cube, which containing the beam elements and I created fixed nodes, but the geometry is getting to complex...
Is there an easy way to combine this types of elements with a mesh in Hypermesh?
Thank you very much for your answers and help!

You need to build a spider of beam elements or rigids (I advise not to do that) between the end of your beam and several nodes on the solid elements.

You should validate your chosen method, it is a horrible bodge, but it is possible.

I doubt the local stresses will mean very much. I don't use FEA for stresses.
