Dear Expert,

Refer attached the U type tubesheet sketch.
My questions is what the tubesheet thickness should I use for comparison to calculation.

Effective tubesheet thickness = "T - Hg" or "T - Hg - H2"
Which is correct ?

ChiangJaron, assuming you are under Part UHX, your dimension "T" corresponds to the Part UHX variable "h". Dimension "hg" should be an input and is accounted for in "h". See UHX-12.3 Nomenclature and Fig UHX 12.1 sketch (d).

You don't show a thickness dimension for the rim at the bolt circle, but if bolt loads are transferred thru it, it is subject to the rules of UHX 9. If bolt loads are not transferred then dimension "T-2*H2" is subject to the same.

Regards,

Mike

The problem with sloppy work is that the supply FAR EXCEEDS the demand
