In PED 97/23 CE we have a limite for each category. In first if the presure vessel design presure is under 0,05 MPa, you have no requirement for PED.

My question about the ASME Code what is the limite of design presure for stamp U ?

Per U-1(c)(2)(h)(1), the limit is 15 psi (100 MPa) at the top of the vessel are not included in the scope of Section VIII Div 1.

It should be 15 psi (100 kPa), not 15 psi (100 MPa).

Second, I think stamping requirements dont specifically deal with pressure limits, but are governed/dictated by local jurisdiction, laws, etc.

Or I've misunderstood your question, but thats how I interpreted f5iqg's post.

XL83NL hit it. Just because the MAWP of your vessel is at or below 15 psia / 100kPa, that vessel can still be built per Sect VIII and receive a "U" stamp. But stamping is optional at that low pressure. Above 15 psia, Stamp is mandatory in USA and Canada.

I have had low-pressure vessels built "in the manner of Sect VIII" without the 3rd-Party Inspection and without a "U" Stamp. This gets you a robust vessel, without the expense of a Stamp.

One should add one other caveat to the 15 psi limit as being: "except those vesssels exempted under the jurisdictional laws/regulations."
