Dear all,
pls anybody tell me either these sentences are still valid or has eliminated from the code? If eliminated, when was?

'ASME BPVC.VIII.1-2015, UG-127, section (3-c-1):
the pressure relief valve will not fail to open at its proper pressure setting regardless of any back pressure that can accumulate between the pressure relief valve disk and the rupture disk. The space between the pressure relief valve disk and the rupture disk shall be vented or drained to prevent accumulation of pressure, or suitable means shall be provided to ensure that an accumulation of pressure does not affect the proper operation of the pressure relief valve.'

I have only the 2015 edition copy not the latest ones.
Appreciated - Zoltan

You are referring to UG-127(a)(3)(-c)(-1).
This paragraph has been moved to BPVC Section XIII-Rules for Overpressure Protection, paragraph 8.3(a).
See Table P-P-1 with cross-reference list:

If you are dealing with pressure vessels and\or PRV design, you shall use the latest Code edition.

Thank you IdanPV, that is clear. May I have one more question? Was that paragraph move in year of 2018 or 2021?
best regards, Zoltan
