Is there a way to drag components off the asm model tree and onto the work area to add additional copies of a prt/asm in the active asm? (like other applications - not naming any specifically)

Take care & have fun!

If you click on an assembled component in the model tree and hit Ctrl-C (copy), then click in the workspace and hit Ctrl-P (paste) a copy of your component will be made. When you perform a copy like this, the constraints used by the copied element are also copied, so you only need to select the assembly references and your part is placed.

An example would be if you have a peg in a hole that is inserted and flush to the surface and you want another one in a different hole, you click it in the tree, hit Ctrl-c, click the workspace, hit Ctrl-p, click the wall of the next hole, then click the surface you want it to be flush to. You can hit Ctrl-p over an over placing the same component with the same constraints (it stays in the 'clipboard' after the first placement).

A star for you...

Thank you very much, aafuni...

There is a Repeat function in assembly mode as well. Place the first one then highlight, Edit->Repeat
