Has anyone worked with assembly arrangements? I am looking at using them, but I am having a hard time deciding whether to use an arrangment or an override mating condition. Ex: I want to show the lid of a box in the open, closed and partially open positions in an upper assembly.

The arrangement is forcing me to suppress the angular constraint of the lid. Is this correct? To me this is the same as overriding at the next assembly level. But I can see an advantage to just choosing the arrangement I want from a list versus having to determine what constraints need modified and to what value.

Thanks,

Have you tried "deform part" or "wave link"

hi Chad

look at this threads Creating a reconfigurable assembly in NX2 and Variations of parts and assemblies and tell us if you need additional help. i deal with arrangements all the time and find them very easy to understand and use.
