Could someone please tell me if there is a requirement for a PE seal on area classification drawings?

It likely depends upon the application and location.

Perhaps an example requiring a stamp would be a municipal methane disposal facility. Facilities for the public would be more likely to require a stamp.

I don't see a PE stamp on most area classification for plants in Texas. However, civil/structural drawings are typically stamped for the same projects.

No PE stamp required from what I've seen unless the equipment/area affects the general public. It's usually up to the customer.

Lets say the area classification drawing is stamp or a drawing identifitying these drawings area stamped. What about field routed conduits?

What about them? Should they be shown?

Again: All depends on the AHJ.
