Are there any standards or papers that include a good glossary for the control of pump sets? 1

Not that I'm aware of. Most owners have their own lingo that they developed themselves or inherited from the EPC firm that designed the pump installation. Most owners have about the same lingo but there are definitely differences among them.

Having said that, there's this:
I did not look at that so I don't know if it's what you need. A lot of HI information is geared toward manufacturers and not so much the owners/end users. The terms you reference above have to do with staging and operating strategy of multiple pumps operating in parallel. Maybe search that site and see if you find anything else.
 
Great, we'll definitely take a look at that. It's always nice to have a standard to refer to.
