Hello,

I have a drawing mode dimensioning question. I want to show an arc length dimension for a curve that is made up of multiple tangent arcs. I have only been successful with showing an arc length for a single arc entity. In AutoCad, it is possible to show an arc length dimension across multiple arcs. Is this possible with Wildfire 2.0? I have tried to copy the edge to create a composite curve to no avail.

Thanks

Thanks. I wasn't aware of the perimeter dimension. Is there also a way to dimension like this in drawing mode? I don't want to drive the curve with a perimeter dimension, but would like to show actual dimension along curves. I've seen people use the word true and just show a simple vertical dimension, but that requires the dimension to be "faked". I'm looking for an alternative, so that it will update and reflect changes made to the model.

If you can do it in drawing mode I can't find it.

If you can do it in Sketcher, then can you not just "Show" that dimension in your drawing? i.e. a shown dimension.

You might try doing an Analysis Feature in your Part and creating an annotation with that value as an arc length dimension.

ARCLEN=LENGTH:fid_FEAT-NAME/ID

Your annotation would then be
Length = &ARCLEN

Use Format Decimal Places to adjust decimals.
