Hello engineering community,
I have a solution slurry tank with old lap welded patches that were installed on the tank. After thickness checks again I have found that there is low thickness along the edge of the patch plate. I only have few days to complete the work as this tank is required back in service as soon as possible. Can I weld additional patch plates on the sides or this wont be compliant with API 653?See attached photo for reference
