API 5 L Grade B PSL 1 or PSL 2?

Hai,

Here i was reviewed the XXXX MTC for API 5L Grade B they not mentioned the PSL 1 or PSL 2 in MTC. So i have to request the supplier to revise the MTC. My client not asked about this. But i have doubt its mandatory it should be mentioned?

Dear Sriram,

Yes, it should absolutely be mentioned, since these are different product specification levels. Both have different certification requirements as per clause 12.

If the material is for the European Union it needs to be PSL2 because PSL1 material does not come with Charpies!!!
