While pursuing some of John Breen's excellent recommendations on reference material for piping designers, I came across this listing for an upcoming book:

Is anyone familiar with the book or author? It's considerably cheaper than most technical books, so it's tempting. Of course, if its full of junk, than it is too expensive at any price. One would hope, coming from ASME, that it will be something of value.

So, if anyone in the group knows anything about it, please share. I was able to find this info at the ASME website:

Hi Ed and all,

Dr. Charles Becht, IV, is among the Illuminati of mechanical engineers and an universally respected authority on piping design. Chuck is a long-time member of the ASME B31 Pressure Piping Code, working on B31.1, B31.3 and the Main Mechanical Design Committee (MDC). Chuck is also the Chairman of the ASME Subcommittee on (Post Construction) Repair and Testing. This (under development) new ASME Code will address all post-construction issues regarding pressure equipment - long overdue.

Go here to learn more about Chuck:

Oh, and by the way, he is a heck of a good guy.

Best regards, John.
