Im looking for a stainless F.B. 3/8"x7-1/4" x 32' long (316) It is a knife edge and we are unable to have a welded seam. Does anyone have a source that can make this?

If normal steel suppliers can't order it you might Scott Forge or Dyson Forge.

The longest SS bar that I've seen was 22' which was made by defunct company.

The first two companies can supply 20' bars or tell you if it's available as merchant grade.
The third and fourth might be able produce it, at very good premium.
AK Steel at one time had the capability of producing stock over 30' long. I got some budget numbers from them in making a 1 piece forged SS tapered shaft 32' long. At the same time I was told they could make almost any shape.

marmon, can you use plate? It is normally available in longer lengths.

Regards,

Mike

That is my thought, shear these from pieces of 40' long plate.

Ya, plate shouldn't be a problem as long as i can just pay for the piece.

Thanks, I'll give the names a try
