What are the main differences between Marconi and Hertz Antenna?

"The basic Hertz antenna is 1/2 wavelength long at the operating frequency and is insulated from ground. It is often called a dipole... The basic Marconi antenna is 1/4 wavelength long and is either grounded at one end or connected to a....counterpoise."

Further to previous post:

1) The 1/4 lambda Marconi antenna is not actually "grounded at one end" (as stated in the above quotation), it is actually fed 'against' the ground. Apologies for not catching that error earlier.

2) If a 1/4 lambda Marconi antenna were fed against a 1/4 lambda counterpoise (as suggested by the above quotation), then it basically becomes a dipole (or a Hertz antenna).
