Hi, I would like to model the impact of a car frame made of square tubular beam sections against a wall. I am using ansys-LSdyna. Could anyone help me selecting the best element type (beam161, solid...) to start the analysis?

From the little I've probed around it seems to be better than the manual is at explaining the program.

It depends on tube thickness.
For thin tube use shell 163
and for thick one solid 164
