ANSI spline call out

Hi, i was reading the following thread,

and it seemed to be along the same lines as what i was looking for, but unfortunately it is closed. I am trying to figure out the correct way to call out a spline in a drawing. my current method looks something like this

23 TOOTH 8/16 DP 30º PA
FILLET ROOT SIDE FIT
CLASS 6
ANSI B 92.1-1970

The machine shop i was using to create this said that my call out didnt have all the required information. Is this the proper form? Am I missing something? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Although this information may seem to provide what they need for the tooth face, they may be looking for major and minor diameters as well as confirmation on tooth thickness or space width. The Machinery's Handbook has quite a bit of information on this including the general format for data on a drawing.

I'm surprised they didn't tell you what information was missing.

What you specified should be enough to make your spline
assuming they have the standard that you cited.
