Long time lurker I have a fairly new mazak camp with a manual focus which we use for light gauge 24 ga ss... I've acquired an Amada pulsar with 2000 watts and I am trying to cut heavy stuff!! So when cutting .25" I get a pretty good cut using e3 for a cut condition... Now cutting 3/16 I have a problem I changed the cut condition to the appropriate 4.5mm and when piercing we are getting a lot of blow back and too much heat on holes- What's wrong

Sorry I should have explained our problem seems at first to be piercing??

If you get explosions during the piercing, it could be too much gas pressure or too much power. I would try the gas pressure first; however, don't go too low (0.5 bar should be the min) or your cutting lens may get pitted.
