Absolute roughness, typical value for aluminium 0.0015mm

Ugh. Wouldn't it depend on the finish, which depends on the process used (sand casting vs. extrusion vs. machined and polished, for examples).

Since it is a fluids heat exchange project I was assuming stadard tubes for a shell and tube heat exchanger
