Aluminum Analysis/Design Software Program 1

I've been searching for a Software Program that will analyse/design using Alum. Sections e.g. Tubing, pipes, extruded shapes, needed to design Guard Railings, catwalk, mezzanines etc. Eagle Point I have been using is "old technology" Any ideas greatly appreciated.

if you have just a few shapes that you use regularly and the loads are fairly simple a spreadsheet can do the work
pretty efficiently

I would use any analysis program or hand analysis to get your forces and then use that info to put into a spreadsheet for section design. Most analysis programs also allow you to put in user defined sections and materials so you can even get member stresses from these and deflections for any material and shape. Carl Bauer
