I am trying to align a non aligned view to a current view on a drawing. I tried using the set relative position but it does not lock the view in position and I cannot align the views using common geometry. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jerry

Hi,

Right click on the view border, go to view positioning and there should be a selection for align view.
Hope this helps.

friensen99,
I have tried this and the "set relative position" does not accomplish what I am looking for. I need to align and lock the views so that they maintain a relationship between eachother when moved and geometry stays aligned such as in a front and side view. The reason I want this is that sometimes you need to delete a view that has a view projected from it and that view then becomes isolated and I want to associate it to another view.

Thanks,

Jerry

Goto View->Toolbars
Activate Position and Orientation toolbar

There you can set coordinate values for view origins.
Set same value for X (or Y, depending if you are aligning vertically or horizontally) coordinate for the views you're aligning.
