Do you have shear strength allowable for AISI 1074 High Carbon Steel ASTM A684? Can you tell me source to get it?

Are you interested in a static shear strength (yield or ultimate load case) or a dynamic strength (fatigue)? 1074 is almost always used in spring applications, so I am not exactly sure what you mean by "shear strength allowable".

And/or if you have the tensile allowable then the shear allowable will be about 1/sqrt(3) times the tensile allowable (about 0.57x) based on Vonmises criteria.

I was trying to get the nut allowables. Which is made out of AISI1074

which "nut" would that be ? MSxxxxx ??

As a first approximation use the shear strength with half the area of the threaded cylinder at the thread pitch diameter.

Virtually all aerospace spec hardware has design strength data in the document or the base spec.
