Please refer to Equation F2-4 and Equation F2-6 (the Fcr and Lr equation respectively) in the AISC Manual (13th Edition) - the "Design of Members for Flexure" Chapter.

Does anyone know what the "c" variable in these equations is refering to, i.e. "Jc" ? I assume it is NOT Cw the warping constant, but I suspect that it is either just a subscript to "J" or it is the distance from the outer most tension/compression fiber to the neutral axis in inches. The manual does not define "c" in the symbol section or in this chapter.

Thanks for the help!
