What is the air flow rate for cooling an automotive air conditioning condensor?

Depends on the vehicle speed, design of condensor (delta P vs. flow rate), underhood position, passenger compartment size, etc.

Do you have a more specific question?

I am attempting to setup a test stand. This AC unit will not reside in an auto. I am trying to get some air blowing across the condensor and the evaporator to simulate it's function. I did not want to put just a "Box" fan on it. I was hoping to get an idea of the air flow for testing.

Thanks for responding.

In a static condition, vehicles with electric fans are almost wholly dependent on the forced convection of the electric fan to cool the condensor. I would suggest you look into the fan performance criteria for an air conditioned vehicle that is representative of your test parameters. Keep in mind resistance to flow on the vehicle includes the radiator as well as the condensor.

Since the condenser is not in an engine compartment

then I suggest the the HVAC/R forum forum403
